Dear all,

I realize that I am not able to do these blog posts very often. However, I will try to blog at least once a month from now on.
Firstly, I would like to share one piece of good news, and that is that my cousin in Norway has offered to translate all the posts to English so that everyone can read them, not only Norwegians. Her name is Kathrine and I would like you all to know how much we appreciate her help, enthusiasm and encouragement.
We would also like to thank those of you who have joined the group on Facebook and showed interest to contribute.

I have to say that the past few months have been amazing. My siblings in Norway and their spouses have done so much and things are really starting to happen now!
The wonderful thing about this is that Anjera, Melida and Mere participate themselves and in a nice way this whole thing unites us all. The whole Kabada family feels they know my siblings, even though they haven’t met each other yet.

A couple of weekends ago we sat down and drew pictures for Christmas cards we want to sell in a fund-raiser. The girls just loved it and they know they are doing it to help collect money for the school fees. We also took photos. I taught them how to use the camera and they ended up taking all the pictures for the Christmas cards themselves!
And it’s sooooo funny because every time the girls do something at home, then baba (their father) comes along and says that he knows very well how to do it. So that day he was like “oh, are you drawing? I know how to draw!” Then he spent a couple of hours in his room and came out again with a drawing of a cow! A few hours later he came back again with a new drawing – this time of a police officer. He glued it on the wall! Hahahaha rofl

The girls are back in school. They have gotten a new matron whom they all like very much. Her name is Josee and she is a caring, warm and big-hearted young woman.
I also met their friends. Every time we come back from a weekend at home, Mere’s best friend, Mogi, comes up and helps her carry her school bag! It is so charming.
Mogi is in Mere’s class and she is kind of a shy girl too. But the nice thing is that together they are not that shy! The other girls told me that Mere talks much more now and plays and laughs and seems much freer, especially when she is with Mogi.
Anjera’s best friend is Judith, the head girl of the school. She likes to sing as well and together they sing, tell stories and do homework. Anjera also told me that they help each other out making the beds and doing the laundry, which she says is part of the reason why they are such good friends… :)

As some of you already know, Anjera has been ill recently. She has had stomach problems and it’s been a great hassle finding out what it is. We ended up, after one and a half week, going to a clinic in Dar es Salaam. We got the best doctor I have ever met in this country to help us and it was such a relief (expensive, but worth it). They did all appropriate tests and an ultrasound scan and found out what the problem was. Now she has some very strong pain killers and is back in school feeling much better. We are waiting for a specialist to come back from a journey and then she will do a small surgery.
I have chosen not to write exactly what it is for her privacy, but the important thing is that we now know what it is and that something can be done about it.

Well, I will end this post here.
Have a great day everyone and thank you for your help!
